background

I'm a structural analysis engineer, with a B.S.E. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan. I have experience in FEA, composites, and CFD, with a mainly research-focused background in college, and am now working in industry at Northrop Grumman.

I've had an interest in aerospace engineering since the age of 12, and I've been fortunate to have that passion turn into a career. I enjoy solving the hardest problems I can find, and I find it rewarding to see my work contribute to the development and deployment of cutting-edge aerospace hardware.

what I find interesting

I have a particular interest in the development of high-performance structures, especially in the context of hypersonic and space vehicles. I'm fascinated by the challenging problems that arise in the deployment of these vehicles, and I enjoy working on expanding the envelope of what's possible in terms of structural performance and design.

outside engineering

I'm an avid powerlifter, and I hope to qualify for USAPL Raw Nationals in the next few years, in the 110 kg weight class. I aim to improve my understanding of strength training and programming, which is why I create my own training program, and provide workout programs for my friends as well.

I enjoy hiking and solo travel, and I try to go on a hiking trip at least once a month. Some of my recent trails have in been in the Colorado Rockies and the Great Smoky Mountains.
